2013 Buisson-Charles Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanee Burgundy White BH92h 750 ml 1 $60.00
There is a very mild hint of the exotic to the ripe nose that offers an interesting contrast between the dried yellow fruit, petrol and citrus-suffused aromas that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the impressively concentrated yet precise middle weight flavors that deliver even better length on the sappy and palate coating finish. This too will need a few years of cellaring before it will be completely ready for prime time enjoyment. AM

2013 Morey-Coffinet Puligny-Montrachet Pucelles,1er Burgundy White BH93h 750 ml 1 $130.00
There is a hint of matchstick character present on the otherwise exceptionally fresh and elegant aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine tea and white fleshed fruit. The cool, pure and energetic medium-bodied flavors possess the most refinement of any wine in the range and the purity of expression displayed by the lingering and faultless well-balanced finish is dazzling. This is pure class and note that while it will age well it would also be a reasonable candidate for drinking after only 5 years or so. AM
2007 Pernot Bienvenue Batard Montrachet Burgundy White RP94 750 ml 1 $175.00
Musky, decadently floral, nose-wrinkling spice, and ripe pit-fruited notes rise from the glass of Pernot’s 2007 Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet. Almond paste, lightly toasted hazelnut, poached peach, candied orange rind, and brown spices inform a rich palate, whose impressive persistence preserves the senses of refreshment, energy, and lift characteristic of the best wines of this vintage. Nor are myriad mineral notes missing here, either. It will be fascinating to compare this wine’s evolution with that of the next-door Les Pucelles over the coming decade.

2011 Jean-Marc Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Caillerets, 1er Burgundy White BH91h 1.5 L 2 $155.00
There is a hint of exoticism together with an extremely fresh and elegant nose of acacia blossom, citrus and spice hints. The notably rich yet precise and wonderfully energetic medium weight flavors ooze a fine minerality on the admirably complex and driving finish. This is altogether lovely and really very stylish. AM
2012 Jean-Marc Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Caillerets, 1er Burgundy White BH91h 1.5 L 2 $165.00
A ripe but airy nose features very fresh aromas of ever-so-mildly exotic dried apricot, peach, mango and jasmine hints. There is exceptional richness to the suave and concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess both good volume and plenty of minerality on the seductively textured and citrus-inflected finish. This is a big wine by the standards of the appellation yet it remains harmonious and well-balanced plus it should drink a few years earlier than it usually does. Worth considering if you enjoy big but stony Chassagne. AM
